Gatherum

An introduction to the Awakenings storyline and to the entire Starchild series, this book was actually released after the first two issues. It was a sort of "benefit book" to help James Owen stay in the game after his car accident, which broke his drawing hand. James did the writing and the layouts, and other artists (Paul Chadwick, Tom Chapman, Colleen Doran, Will Eisner, Craig Hamilton, P. Craig Russell, Dave Sim & Gerhard, and Martin Wagner) did the illustrations. Also included are a foreword by Alan Dean Foster, an afterword by Frank Kelly Freas, and a few original sketches by James Owen. Much of this book has not been reprinted in subsequent collections.
